Dr. Ngwang is an expert in Community Development and Smallholder Agricultural Financing, supporting ASDEV in project development and research. He holds a Ph.D. in Agribusiness Project Management from the University of Bamenda, Cameroon, and an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Buea, Cameroon. Dr. Ngwang has been instrumental in providing financial resources in form of small loans for farmers in several farming communities in Cameroon through the ‘Support Programme for Development of Rural Employment’ (PADER) financing scheme for smallholder farmers – a program coordinated by the National Employment Fund (NEF), Cameroon. Dr. Ngwang is one of the Vice Presidents of the Cameroon Association of Agricultural Economists (CAAE) and has participated in several policy initiatives with stakeholders from both national (MINADER, MINFOP, MINEPIA, MINRESI) and international (AfDB, FAO, UNVDA) alliances.
